Hérna fyrir neðan eru quote úr manual-inum fyrir Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P, hann er
hérEf að eftirfarandi lesning reynist ekki gagnleg þá verður bara að hafa það
Til að summa þetta upp þá eru 2 SATA controllerar á borðinu AMD SB750 (blá tengi SATA) og GIGABYTE SATA2/JMB322 (hvít tengi GSATA)
Default er AMD SATA Controller-inn stilltur á "Native IDE", þessari stillingu þarftu að breyta í "AHCI" (BIOS - Intergrated Peripherals - OnChip SATA Type)
Default er Gigabyte GSATA Controllerinn stilltur á "IDE", þessari stillingu þarftu að breyta í "AHCI" (BIOS - Intergrated Peripherals - Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode)
Einnig verður að hafa í huga að AMD Controllerinn er tvískiptur þannig að þú þarft að breyta SATA4 og SATA5 sér
Default er OnChip SATA Port4/5 Type stilltur á "IDE", þessari stillingu þarftu að breyta í "As SATA Type" (BIOS - Intergrated Peripherals - OnChip SATA Port4/5)
Þetta verður aðeins meira vandamál ef að þú ætlar að RAID-a og gæti einnig orðið vandamál að breyta þessu eftir að þú ert búinn að setja upp OS og þú verður að hafa SATA driver-a tilbúna á floppy ef að þú ætlar að setja upp XP á AHCI
A JMB322 chip supports two SATA 3Gb/s connectors, so the four SATA 3Gb/s connectors are divided into to two pairs: GSATA2_0 and GSATA2_1 as a pair and GSATA2_2 and GSATA2_3 as
a pair. (Refer to Chapter 2, "Integrated Peripherals" and Chapter 5, "Configuring SATA Hard Drive(s)," for how to enable the Smart Backup function.)
SATA2_0/1/2/3/4/5 (SATA 3Gb/s Connectors, Controlled by AMD SB750, Blue) The SATA connectors conform to SATA 3Gb/s standard and are compatible with SATA 1.5Gb/s standard. Each SATA connector supports a single SATA device. The AMD SB750 controller supports RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 10 and JBOD. Refer to Chapter 5, "Configuring SATA Hard Drive(s)," for instructions on configuring a RAID array.
GSATA2_0/1/2/3 (SATA 3Gb/s Connectors, Controlled by GIGABYTE SATA2/JMB322, White) The SATA connectors conform to SATA 3Gb/s standard and are compatible with SATA 1.5Gb/s standard. Each SATA connector supports a single SATA device. The GIGABYTE SATA2/JMB322 controller supports RAID 0, RAID 1 and JBOD. Refer to Chapter 2, "Integrated Peripherals" and Chapter 5, "Configuring SATA Hard Drive(s)," for instructions on configuring a RAID array.
2-6 Integrated Peripherals
OnChip SATA Type (AMD SB750 South Bridge, SATA2_0~SATA2_3 connectors)
Configures the operating mode of the integrated SATA2_0~SATA2_3 controller.
Native IDE Allows the SATA controller to operate in Native IDE mode. (Default)
Enable Native IDE mode if you wish to install operating systems that support Native mode.
RAID Enables RAID for the SATA controller.
AHCI Configures the SATA controller to AHCI mode. Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) is an interface specification that allows the storage driver to enable advanced Serial ATA features such as Native Command Queuing and hot plug.

OnChip SATA Port4/5 Type (SATA2_4/SATA2_5 connectors)
This option is configurable only when OnChip SATA Type is set to RAID or AHCI. Configures the operating mode of the integrated SATA2_4/SATA2_5 connectors.
IDE Disables RAID for the SATA controller and configures the SATA controller to PATA mode. (Default)
As SATA Type The mode depends on the OnChip SATA Type settings.

Onboard SATA/IDE Device (GIGABYTE SATA2 Chip, GSATA2_0~3 connectors)
Enables or disables the SATA controller integrated in the GIGABYTE SATA 2 chip. (Default: Enabled)
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode (GIGABYTE SATA2 Chip, GSATA2_0~3 connectors)
Allows you to decide whether to configure the SATA controller to AHCI mode.
IDE Configures the SATA controller to PATA mode. (Default)
AHCI Configures the SATA controller to AHCI mode.
