LOL!
Annars er þetta það eina sem ég fann um þetta:
I am thinking that your PATA to SATA "adapter" might be the reason why? the VIA BootROM BIOS is not able to "initialize" the disk properly. A lot of people have mixed results using these adapters with onboard controllers as opposed to standalone PCI controllers....
Can you post back with some more details on your mobo and system.........
You will need to make sure that your VIA BootROM BIOS aka OnChip SATA Boot ROM is ENABLED in your BIOS in order for your SATA to be recognized.
I had a similar problem when I installed two Maxtor SATA drives in my A8V recently. I had an 80GB drive plugged into SATA_1 and a 200GB drive plugged into SATA_2 (this was on the VIA controller, btw). The VIA BIOS displayed the exact same error as you have, and after some fiddling around, I found that if I swapped the drives around (i.e. 200GB on SATA_1 and 80GB on SATA_2), they were detected fine. This meant that I had to switch the boot order in the BIOS in order to start from my 80GB drive, but that's not really a problem.
It might be that the controller prefers the larger of two drives to go first? I've seen other people with similar problems, so I'm guessing when ASUS include the updated (which I heard was given to mobo manufacturers in August?) VIA raid controller BIOS with their next release, this problem might be corrected.
Hope this helps
On boot the following error message was displayed.
"hardware initiate failed please check device the bios does not be installed. press <g> to continue"
Bad English aside, this message wasn't particularly useful and even after pressing <g> the system was still dead.
Turns out one of the disks in the RAID 1 array had developed a fault, why this should cause the whole system to fail is beyond me. After swapping the bust disk things returned to normal but that's not the point.
It's a good job this box wasn't used for anything too important. Never use SATA RAID for mission critical apps unless you first invest in a decent controller. I'd suggest something from HighPoint or Adaptec.
Ég skil þetta þannig að þú eigir að fara inní VIA sata setupið og stilla eitthvað þar.. eeeða að diskurinn sé ónýtur.
ekki er þetta ASUS K8T800 borð?
