I need someone to help me put the best possible setup for 80K without the screen. I just need to get my fruity loops work smoothly. Computer won't be use for games, videos etc.
Does anyone have a clue how to do it?

I say, if you're going to use a firewire connected external sound card, make sure that the computer has a Texas Instruments firewire/1394 chipset. Otherwise you might get stutters in the sound or even get random lock ups. Texas Instruments chipsets are known for working best with pro sound cards.
I was getting some stutters after I upgraded my video card or motherboard bios (did both at the same time, so I don't know which is the culprit), so I tried changing the Firewire latency (not the ASIO latency), after that it immediately BSOD's when I connect the sound card. Luckily this happened only on my Windows 7 64-bit partition. My Windows XP partition, which I mainly use for producing and mixing, still works.
