Eru CF kort ekki almennt frekar hæg? 6-12Mb/s?
EDIT : Þó það sé ofc hægt að fá high-speed kort eins og 300X CF, maxar í 44MB/s read speedtest.

Fyrir utan það að þau eru á firmware leveli ATA/IDE, svo þú fengir in theory aldrei meira en hvað, max 66Mb/s?

Sniðugt fyrir lappa kannski, en þetta er ekkert sambærilegt við SSD ef það er hugsunin.

Pros: I bought a transcend 16GB to put inside, it's works perfectly on my computer but it is not as fast as i imagined.
I got a 18M/S on wirtting and 26M/S on reading, i thought it would be faster.
The build quality is excellent, in iron, look like very strong.

Ive tested them, and the speeds depends at the cf card you use. When you use an high rate compact flash card (extreme IV is currently the fastest i think) you make about 45mbs. Fast enough to boot windows or linux. (use linux since windows writes a LOT of data to the cf wich causes read/write faults in notime)

I just got one of these and I'm just posting some quick speed test, I don't have any fast cards, but here are the results of the quick tests I've done. I'm running Debian Lenny with kernel 2.6.28 and I'm testing buffered disk reads with hdparm.

CF-card 1:
CF-2-SATA:
hdparm -t /dev/sdf

/dev/sdf:
Timing buffered disk reads: 34 MB in 3.17 seconds = 10.73 MB/sec

USB card reader:
hdparm -t /dev/sdc

/dev/sdc:
Timing buffered disk reads: 38 MB in 3.08 seconds = 12.32 MB/sec

CF-card 2:
CF-2-SATA:
hdparm -t /dev/sdf

/dev/sdf:
Timing buffered disk reads: 26 MB in 3.22 seconds = 8.07 MB/sec

USB card reader:
hdparm -t /dev/sdc

/dev/sdc:
Timing buffered disk reads: 24 MB in 3.14 seconds = 7.64 MB/sec

As you can see this test gives some really strange results, because it appears one card was faster with the CF-2-SATA adapter and the other one was faster with the USB card reader.

These test aren't representative at all, but you could say the speed you will get from these on the speed you get from your CF-card. (Or maybe it hits its top at 10 MB/sec ?????)

I don't have any faster cards, so I can't test the maximum speed of this device. I'm now going to test this device and maybe buy another one with a fast 10Gibi card if it proves to be reliable.

OK...

Þetta er sjálfdautt...

Ég kíkti fyrst á vöruna og las x300 og hugsaði "vá, hratt helvíti" svo eftir þessi komment las ég lýsinguna = 45Mb/sek...
